Because Fesi records both video and microphone audio in your living room, the app's audio track contains a faint recording of the sound from your television or monitor. Zoom into the timeline waveforms in CapCut and visually align the audio spike from your TV with the digital source track. Once aligned, lower the volume of the TV audio on your facecam track to 0% so it doesn't create an echo.
Step 4: Styling and Positioning the Facecam
- Masking: Select your overlay track, tap Mask, and choose Circle or Rectangle with rounded corners. A smooth circular or 12px rounded corner looks far more professional than a raw sharp rectangular crop.
- Placement: Position your face in the upper-third or lower-middle area. Avoid the very bottom edge where TikTok and Instagram Reels overlay captions, usernames, and audio links.
